Change is in the air! With leaves turning color, and the brisk cool temperatures, you know it's that time of year again. For the Merchants of Midnight, fall isn't just about changing leaves and pumpkin spice lattes though.
This season there's been a buzz from fans and band members alike about a brand new studio-recorded album which is set to release on October 19th. The Merchants are ecstatic to say the least about the release of "Line 'Em Up" and they mutually agree it's been a long time coming. "It's a lot of work", says lead singer and visionary Royce Saindon. "But we're excited about it and can't wait for the album to hit the local music scene."
The talented trio describe their music as rock and roll with attitude. Their lyrics are diverse as is their sound--ranging from up-tempo twisty ballads like "Lady Luck" to soul-soaked, and deeply thoughtful songs like "The Grey".
The Merchants took several months off from gigs this summer to focus solely on studio time and composition. The album comes with ten new visceral beats that are sure to get this small town band noticed.
If you like records that are unique, this is one to add to your collection. "Line 'Em Up" features great diversity, refreshingly different tunes and lyrics throughout the entire album. Every track is completely different from the others, and the songs cater to a wide array of rock style preferences.
A new album isn't the only thing that the band is buzzing about. With the launch of a fresh website, new graphics, and stylish merchandise, they've been quite busy. The new website encompasses the band's edgy, rock style and is loaded with new features. Be sure to check it out their new digs while you're here.
Currently, the band is putting together a new gig list for the remainder of 2016, so stay tuned for show and ticket info coming soon.
