Blaring amplifiers, thunderous drums and cheering people, that's everything that is amazing about being in a rock band, but it's not everything.
Aside from the music you have four people who need to find a way to keep their unified eyes on the prize. You are going to have differences, you may even want to knock eachother out, but at the end of the day the people you create with become family. You have to fight like family and back eachother up like one. The days will come when someone makes a mistake and you need to ask yourself if everything you have built, with this adopted family, is worth the heartache, irritation and frustration that comes with it.
Keep on Keepin' on and keep your eye on the prize, everything else is just bullshit and should be forgotten in the end.
Exciting news! Merchants of Midnight will be among the bands interviewed by Fireworks magazine. The interview will appear in Fireworks’ December issue and should be available free to all fans at www.rocktopia.co.uk. This is a big step for us toward not just national, but international recognition. Awesome.
Fireworks will also include a review of our new album “Line ‘Em Up.” Unfortunately, the album review is freely available to subscribers or by purchasing the entire issue. Though maybe a subscription is exactly the right idea. And in the light of full disclosure, Merchants of Midnight LLC is not connected to Fireworks or receive compensation for any endorsement I give here. I just think it’s a great magazine for keeping up on the changing music scene on both sides of the pond.
I hope you are all enjoying our music! And for those of you who have yet to own “Line ‘Em Up” it is available on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon. Keep on rockin’ Merchants fans!
